Who we are
Aquila, a group within Constellation Software Inc., one of North America’s largest and most respected software companies, invests in category-defining B2B and B2G software businesses globally, providing long-term support and strategic guidance. Emphasys Software has been part of Aquila since 2008.
Operating across five specialized divisions, Emphasys provides mission-critical software that modernizes and streamlines complex processes for housing authorities, lenders, and government agencies in nearly every state. Through both products and services, Emphasys helps house roughly half of the families most in need in the country.
At Emphasys HFA , a division of Emphasys, we develop and support industry-leading software designed specifically for Public Housing Authorities across the United States. As a trusted provider in the affordable housing sector, our solutions help PHAs efficiently manage operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver critical housing services to families and individuals in need. From applicant intake to rent calculations and unit inspections, our platform supports the full lifecycle of public housing programs—empowering agencies to focus on their mission of providing safe, stable, and affordable housing.
Who we need
Reporting to the Head of Operations, we are hiring a Product Line Manager, Single Family, to join Emphasys HFA, an Aquila company. As our new Product Line Manager, you will oversee the strategy, roadmap, development, and ongoing evolution of our Single Family mortgage lending software solutions, supporting the full lending lifecycle from loan origination through portfolio management. You will lead the modernization of our product line, balancing the ongoing support of legacy applications with the migration and adoption of our newer Microsoft .NET platform and the introduction of AI-powered capabilities. Working closely with clients, Development, Implementation, and Client Services teams, you will translate business needs, industry requirements, and client feedback into product enhancements, manage critical client escalations, and ensure our solutions continue to meet the evolving needs of housing finance agencies and lending partners.
This is a remote role open to candidates based anywhere in the United States or Canada.
What’s in it for you
Ownership and influence. You will take ownership of an established Single Family mortgage lending product line, influencing its strategy, roadmap, and future direction. You will have the opportunity to shape product priorities, work directly with clients and internal teams, and make decisions that improve how housing finance agencies and lending partners manage their lending operations.
Modernization and innovation. You will play a central role in transforming an established product portfolio, helping clients transition from legacy systems to a modern Microsoft .NET platform while expanding AI-powered capabilities. From enhancing existing solutions to contributing to new product development initiatives, you will have the opportunity to bring ideas to life and see their impact on how clients work.
Breadth and impact. You will work across the full product lifecycle, combining strategic product management with hands-on product ownership, client engagement, and delivery. You will collaborate with Development, Implementation, Business Development, and Client Services teams, gaining broad exposure to the business while building relationships with housing finance agencies and lending partners. Your work will directly influence product adoption, client satisfaction, and the continued evolution of the Single Family product line.
As our new Product Line Manager, you will:
Own the product strategy and roadmap. Drive product modernization. You will oversee the ongoing support of legacy COBOL applications while driving client migration and adoption of our modern Microsoft .NET platform. You will work closely with Development, Implementation, and Client Services teams to prioritize enhancements, coordinate releases, and ensure a smooth transition for clients.
Advance AI and product innovation. You will identify opportunities to expand AI-powered capabilities within the Lender Portal, including intelligent document ingestion and processing, to improve efficiency and the client experience. You will contribute to new product initiatives, translating ideas and client requirements into practical solutions, prototypes, and product features.
Lead product development and delivery. You will work closely with Development teams to define requirements, guide system design, prioritize enhancements, and oversee delivery timelines and releases. Combining product management with hands-on product ownership, you will ensure solutions meet client expectations, security standards, and industry requirements.
Build and strengthen client relationships. You will partner directly with housing finance agencies, lenders, and other stakeholders to understand their needs, gather feedback, and identify opportunities to improve our solutions. You will take ownership of critical client escalations, coordinate resolutions across teams, and communicate clearly throughout the process to maintain trust and satisfaction.
Support business growth and market opportunities. You will collaborate with Business Development, Sales, and Marketing teams on product demonstrations and showcases for prospective and existing clients, RFP responses, and solution development. You will clearly communicate product capabilities, demonstrate how our solutions address client needs, and support business development opportunities. You will stay informed about mortgage lending trends, competitors, and emerging market needs, identifying opportunities to strengthen our offerings and expand into new markets.
