Why it matters: Transportation is undergoing a once-in-a-century transformation. The convergence of AI, electrification, autonomous driving and geopolitics are reshaping the industry — redefining how we move, where companies invest, and which countries will dominate the next era of manufacturing and technology.

We're looking for a reporter who can explain the biggest forces driving change, from Silicon Valley's growing influence over Detroit, to the tech policy and tariffs coming out of Washington, to China's emergence as an automotive powerhouse.
