About Megaport
We’re not your typical tech company – and we don’t want to be. Megaport is the global leader in Network as a Service (NaaS), and has transformed the way businesses connect to the cloud, data centers, and each other. We’re publicly listed on the Australian Stock Exchange and partnered with the biggest names in tech like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Oracle, IBM, and more. Headquartered in Brisbane with a crew of over 600 people spread across Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the Americas, our employees enjoy an environment that is collaborative, supportive, and (actually) fun.
Our Team Culture
We’re a team of problem solvers, pixel pushers, code slingers, and cloud fanatics. Culture is more than a poster on the wall here – collaboration beats hierarchy, curiosity fuels our growth, and everyone’s voice matters. We take our work seriously, but not ourselves. We work across time zones to execute on our global vision, trust each other to get things done, and never compromise our values for commercial gain. Most importantly, we place our customers at the center of everything we do.
We’re committed to increasing representation in the tech industry and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. Don’t meet every requirement? That’s okay. If you’re excited about this role, we encourage you to apply.
Your Role
Megaport is growing fast, and acquisitions are a big part of our journey. We're looking for a switched-on, highly organised and action-oriented People & Culture Project Lead to help bring our businesses, people and teams together as we continue to scale globally.
This is a hands-on role for someone who loves turning complex projects into clear plans, bringing order to the chaos and, most importantly, making things happen.
Working closely with our People & Culture leadership and M&A Integration teams, you'll help drive the people side of our acquisitions - from pre-deal planning and Day 1 readiness through to making sure our new colleagues, systems and processes are successfully integrated into Megaport .
You'll work with teams across the globe, connecting the dots between People & Culture, Legal, Finance, IT and the broader business to keep integration activities on track and moving forward.
We're after someone who takes ownership, thrives on variety, isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and knows how to get things done in a business that doesn't stand still.
We’d love to hear from you if you're energised by solving problems, juggling moving parts and seeing projects through from planning to delivery.
What You'll Be Doing
M&A People Integration
Lead the planning and delivery of the people integration activities for Megaport ’s acquisitions, working closely with People & Culture leadership to execute on agreed strategies.
Pre-acquisition planning: Support HR due diligence activities and translate identified people-related risks, obligations and priorities into actionable integration plans.
Day 1 Readiness: Coordinate people integration readiness ahead of acquisition completion, ensuring critical employee, payroll, systems and operational requirements are addressed.
Drive the delivery of people integration activities across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring agreed milestones and deliverables are achieved.
Develop and manage comprehensive integration project plans, including timelines, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and responsibilities, ensuring clear accountability and timely follow-up.
Coordinate activities across employee onboarding and transition, employment documentation, employee data, payroll and benefits, HR systems, policies, reporting lines, communications and change management.
Work with internal stakeholders and external providers to coordinate the collection, validation and migration of employee information.
Proactively identify and manage project risks, issues and dependencies, working with stakeholders to develop practical solutions and escalating matters where necessary.
Prepare project updates, progress reports and other materials for People & Culture leadership and relevant stakeholders.
Support post-integration reviews, capturing lessons learned and identifying opportunities to improve integration processes and frameworks.
Develop and maintain standardised M&A people integration frameworks, templates and checklists to support consistency across future acquisitions.
People & Culture Projects
Coordinate and execute other strategic People & Culture projects across Megaport ’s global operations.
Support initiatives to improve and standardise People & Culture systems, policies, processes and ways of working.
Assist with implementation of new systems, tools and operational improvements.
Develop project documentation, process maps, communications and supporting materials.
Work collaboratively with People & Culture team members to implement agreed changes and improvements
Stakeholder Coordination & Project Delivery
Build effective working relationships with stakeholders across multiple functions, countries and time zones.
Proactively monitor progress, manage competing priorities and dependencies, and work with stakeholders to resolve delivery challenges.
Maintain accurate project documentation and handle sensitive employee information appropriately.
Take ownership of assigned project outcomes, ensuring deliverables are completed to a high standard and within agreed timeframes.
Establish clear project governance and ways of working, including working sessions, action tracking, progress reporting and stakeholder communications.
Provide regular updates to project sponsors on progress, upcoming milestones, risks and dependencies.
Identify and escalate issues or decisions requiring sponsor input, providing the appropriate context and recommendations to support timely decision-making.
What We Are Looking For
We're less interested in someone who can talk about project management frameworks and more interested in someone who knows how to make projects happen.
You'll bring a combination of People & Culture know-how, strong project coordination skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders across a fast-moving global business.
Experience and Qualifications
