EgyptSoftware Engineer at Yandex
About
At Yandex, I owned end-to-end development of the YandexPro courier service and led its architectural design, from the initial rollout through ecosystem integration and adaptation to a new business model. I also coordinated development across four teams.
I helped restore services and databases after data center outages, and onboarded new team members by introducing system architecture, internal services, and engineering workflows. I also shared knowledge on distributed systems and Go.
At Ozon Tech, I developed and maintained microservices handling up to 250K requests per second. I optimized high-load services, reducing 99th-percentile latency from 50 ms to 5 ms, and contributed to integrations with government and banking APIs associated with a $70M annual GMV increase.
My work at Ozon Tech also included user data storage for customs compliance, a redesigned user profile experience, and document uploads via WebView. Earlier, as a Software Engineer Intern at DeNet, I developed ERC20 and ERC721 smart contracts and tested and audited contracts using automation tools.
