Gabriel Cernei

I’m a full-stack developer from Moldova, now living in Timișoara, and I’ve been building web applications for about 7 years. I started while still in college, with part-time and junior roles, and over time moved toward backend work with Laravel, PHP and MySQL, using Vue, Nuxt and Angular on the frontend. What I enjoy most is owning a feature from start to finish: understanding the problem from the people who will use it, designing the data and the API, writing the tests and keeping it running in production. Along the way I’ve worked on authentication platforms, analytics, e-commerce, CRMs and, more recently, AI-based document processing, usually with a lot of third-party integrations. Today I lead engineering in a small team and run my own software company, so I’m used to making technical decisions and talking directly with clients. I’m looking for a remote role on a product people rely on every day, with a team that cares about clean, tested code. Outside of work I grow avocado plants from pits and like taking day trips around the region.
